ABSTRACT
This study aims to test and analyze the effect of diversification (non-interest income) on bank profitability as proxied by return on equity (ROE). This study uses a quantitative method with secondary data and uses a simple linear regression test. The data collection/sampling technique uses special criteria (purposive sampling), so that the sample used is 52 analysis units, obtained from 4 state-owned state-owned banks and 9 national private banks with total assets above 100 trillion listed on the IDX in the observation period 2019-2022. The results of the hypothesis test obtained that the non-interest income variable has a significance value (Sig) of 0.000 below the critical value of 0.05, then the Sig value. (0.000 <0.05), while the results of the t table and t count obtained results of 0.004 <4.014. The results of this study found that income diversification (non-interest income) can influence and increase bank profitability (return on equity/ROE.
