Abstract

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic, globalization, and technological advancements have brought significant changes to employment trends. These developments have undoubtedly influenced employer expectations regarding the skills and attributes higher education graduates should possess. Employers' expectations are shaped not only by the quality of educational institutions but also by the impressions graduates leave on potential employers. Recognizing these changes is essential for developing policies that equip graduates to be well-prepared and competitive in the labour market. This study utilizes a literature review approach by examining and analysing various published manuscripts related to the research topic. It identifies several attributes that are most frequently desired by employers from college graduates, including communication skills, teamwork, technical or practical skills, and professional competencies.
